Nicolaus Copernicus
Born in 1473 in Torun, Nicolaus Copernicus was a Renaissance-era mathematician and astronomer who is famous for his heliocentric theory of the solar system. He believed that the sun was the center of the universe, and that the planets revolved around it. This idea was revolutionary for its time and is now considered a cornerstone of modern astronomy.

Frédéric Chopin
