- Many nouns ending in
-ail
have a regular plural in-ails
, for example: 😀- des details (details),
- des éventails (fans),
- des rails (rails),
- des gouvernails (rudders).
Irregular Plural
- However, a number of nouns in
-ail
are pluralized with-aux
, like in the examples below:
