Ordinal numbers table: from 1 to 1000[edit | edit source]

Numbers like premier, deuxième, troisième, etc., are called ordinal numbers:

1st 1 er/ère premier, première
2nd 2e (2ème) deuxième or second, seconde, (deuxième and second are interchangeable except in en seconde 'in second class'; 'in the fifth form')
3rd 3e (3ème) troisième
4th 4e (4ème) quatrième
5 th 5e (5ème) cinquième
6th 6e (6ème) sixième
7th 7e septième
8th 8e huitième
9th 9e neuvième
10th 10e dixième
11th 11e onzième
12th 12e douzième
13th 13e treizième
14th 14e quatorzième
15th 15e quinzième
