Ukrainian Vocabulary → → At the Supermarket

At the supermarket is something that everybody does, regardless of where you live or what language you speak. Ukrainian supermarkets are no exception, and as a Ukrainian language teacher, I want to make sure that you know your way around the supermarket in Ukraine. This lesson will teach you the vocabulary words you need to know in order to successfully navigate the supermarket in Ukraine.

Useful Phrases

Before we dive into specific vocabulary words, let's learn some useful phrases that you might need to use at the supermarket.

  • Добрий день. (Dobryy denʹ.) - Good day.
  • До побачення. (Do pobachennya.) - Goodbye.
  • Я шукаю… (Ya shukayu...) - I'm looking for...
  • Скільки коштує це? (Skilʹky koshtuye tse?) - How much does this cost?
  • Дякую. (Dyakuyu.) - Thank you.
