Fast Food

Sweden is a country where fast food is quite popular, and therefore, we'll talk about some typical Swedish fast food. First of all, we need to clarify that there isn't much real Swedish fast food. Rather, there are Swedish versions of fast food, such as pizza, baked potatoes, and hot dogs. If you want to try "real" Swedish fast food, visiting the fast food chain Sibylla is a good option. They sell things like hamburgers, hot dogs, and schnitzel. Hot dogs can be served in a bun, with fries or, the more Swedish option, with mashed potatoes and shrimp salad, all wrapped in a flatbread. This is referred to as tunnbrödsrulle, meaning "flatbread role." They also offer more Swedish dishes, such as meatballs with mashed potatoes or baked potatoes with different kinds of fillings. If you're into pizza, then you should try Swedish versions, such as kebab pizza, which is a pizza with kebab meat, tomatoes, iceberg salad, and some kind of garlic sauce or a pizza with thinly sliced tenderloin and bearnaise sauce.
