Nowruz[edit | edit source]

The Persian New Year Nowruz is the most important public holiday in Iran, and it marks the beginning of the Persian New Year. The Longest Night of the Year Yalda Night is a Persian festival that celebrates the winter solstice and the longest night of the year. Families gather to eat fruits and nuts, read poetry, and stay up late into the night. The holiday symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness and is a time for reflecting on the past year and looking forward to the future.
