The postposition of the Instrumental in Georgian
The postpositions of the instrumental case “-იდან” and “-დან” mean “from”.
It’s received after the phonetic changes of ით+გან ⇒ ითგან ⇒ იდგან ⇒ იდან
Examples: სახლიდან, ოთახიდან, სეულიდან, etc.
