The postposition “-თან” in Georgian

The postposition “-თან” means “at”. This postposition is added to the word directly on words with a final consonant, while words ending on vowels keep the dative marker “-ს”.

Compare:

  • მაგიდასთან (at the table)

and

  • მეგობართან (at/with a friend).
