Hello, I’ve found one sentence. The sentece was ”Es waren schöne Zeiten gewesen.”. Is the sentence correct? Shouldn’t the correct form be ”Es waren schöne Zeiten.” or ”Es sind schöne Zeiten gewesen.”?

Yes, it’s correct. It uses the plusquamperfect tense of ”sein” (to be). Your suggestion uses the imperfect tense (waren) or the perfect tense (sind gewesen). Why shouldn’t German use not the same temporal forms of auxiliary verbs as English?
The utilisation depends on the purpose.
