ian_megillFebruary 2019 Basically, the "en" usually works where we would use the English "one/some" or in a positive sentence, and "one/any" in a negative sentence, e.g. "As-tu de l'argent?" "Oui, j'en ai beaucoup." or "As-tu un crayon?" "Non, je n'en ai pas." But in certain fixed phrases, sometimes the object is only implied, e.g. "J'en ai marre"/"I've had enough (of this)." IdeeArtiste95February 2019 If someone means "en", it is something which must be mentioned before, in the same sentence or another one. For example, "J'aimerais boire du café mais j'ai oublié d'en acheté." |
Alexmarie93100March 2019 Oui sauf que c’est „acheter“
ian_megillFebruary 2019 "...en achetER", but apart from that, yes, exactly! "... but I forgot to buy some."
