why for certain expressions is it 'en avoir' instead of 'avoir'?

Basically, the "en" usually works where we would use the English "one/some" or in a positive sentence, and "one/any" in a negative sentence, e.g.
"As-tu de l'argent?"
"Oui, j'en ai beaucoup."
or
"As-tu un crayon?"
"Non, je n'en ai pas."
But in certain fixed phrases, sometimes the object is only implied, e.g. "J'en ai marre"/"I've had enough (of this)."

If someone means "en", it is something which must be mentioned before, in the same sentence or another one.
For example, "J'aimerais boire du café mais j'ai oublié d'en acheté."
