Catch is to completely get a hold of something on purpose. Grasp is to quickly get a hold of something.

grasp can be used in two different situations:
1- take hold of something or someone very tightly 2- the ability to understand/achieve something
catch: usually in some kind of a race/chase but this verb has many meanings - you should consult an English dictionary for it

    Thank you for your advice but sometime there are many words have the same meaning in dictionary whereas they have different usage such as Hijack, kidnap and abduct
