What is a "PLOC"?

A PLOC is essentially a cross-cultural reunion where members meet to discuss topics related to the broad fields of linguistics and cultural studies or to simply chat about any topic at all, in whatever language inspires you!

This meeting of minds and cultures is the cream of the crop and the main feature of all PolyglotClub get-togethers.
What largely contributed to its success is the simplicity and spontaneity of the concept.
Basically, a PLOC enables all members to give their keyboard a rest, hit the nearest bar, café, pub, or street corner and exchange with a like-minded crowd.
What strikes most newcomers to a PLOC (or any Polyglot Club event, for that matter) is the openness, the curiosity, the diversity, and ultimately, the ability for empathy and sympathy within this community.
Another reason for the popularity of PLOCs throughout the world, is its adaptability.
Basically, this reunion can be set anywhere, anytime and with as many idioms as desired.
The only restriction is the choice of venue, so choosing an appropriate place for a PLOC is fundamental.
Post your proposition for a PLOC as soon as possible to allow most members in your area to read it, ask further questions, and make the necessary arrangements to show up on D day.
In order to make your PLOC successful, convivial, and perennial, it is advisable to meet at the same location on a regular basis (monthly, or better yet, weekly).
See you there!
