Culture and interesting facts

Kazakhstan is a country with a rich trading history. The Silk Road, an ancient trading route between China and Europe, passed through Kazakhstan. As a result, markets and bazaars are an integral part of Kazakh culture. They are filled with exotic spices, handcrafted textiles, and unique souvenirs. When shopping in Kazakhstan, bargaining is expected in markets but not in stores, so be prepared to haggle for the best price.

Another unique feature of shopping in Kazakhstan is the "shabby chic" trend that is popular across the country. Many shoppers prefer to buy old, rustic items that have character and charm, rather than brand new ones.

Overall, shopping in Kazakhstan can be a fun and unique experience. Don't be afraid to explore the markets and practice your Kazakh language skills with the friendly vendors.
