Stress for Swedish Youth

is a country where people in general enjoy a high standard of living, and services such as school and medical care, which in other countries are only available to few, are offered to the whole population.

Swedish youth are, in general, pretty happy with life, but recent research has also shown that Swedish youth are experiencing stress to a higher degree than before.

Why people feel stressed, of course, varies from person to person and from situation to situation, but three common factors of why Swedish youth experience stress are that they feel the expectations on them are high but that there is a lack of social support, that they have low self esteem, and because they're experiencing sleeping problems.

Stress is a problem for both boys and girls, but girls are more likely to experience stress than boys.
