Main Spanish words that come from French:
- Cruasán, chófer: croissant, chauffeur
- Peaje, masaje, garaje, maquillaje, bricolaje: what is the similarity between all these words? We agree, they all have the same "-aje" suffix. It is therefore not difficult to find the original word, that is to say the French word, which has the suffix "age".
- Jamón, pantalón, avión, edredón, camión: this series of words again has one thing in common, the suffix in “ón”. It's easy to identify the corresponding French word.
- Rol, esqui, carné, champiñón, bicicleta, ducha, botella: these few words have been grouped together because they have undergone a slight transformation at the spelling.
- Peluche, debut, menú, hotel, dossier, cliché: what do these words have in common? They are transparent. The French word has been taken as it is, an accent may have been added or removed, in some cases.
