Grammar[edit | edit source]
In Sanskrit, the gender of the nouns is important. The gender of the nouns can be masculine, feminine or neuter. The gender of the nouns affects the form of the adjectives and verbs used with them.
For example, the word for "shirt" (कमीज) is masculine, so the adjective used with it should also be in the masculine form.
The word for "pants" (पहिया) is feminine, so the adjective used with it should also be in the feminine form.
The word for "sari" (सूती) is neuter, so the adjective used with it should also be in the neuter form.
