Note that some Odia words have diacritical marks, such as "ā" and "ṇ". These marks indicate the elongation of a vowel sound, and the pronunciation should be slightly prolonged.

It is important to keep in mind that in Odia, most colors are gendered, meaning that their forms change depending on the gender of the object being described. For example, the feminine form of "Red" is "ଲାଲିଆ" (lāli'ā), while the masculine form is "ଲାଲ" (lāla).
