Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held at Curlers and Thursdays at Tennent's!

Curlers is conveniently located next to Hillhead subway on Byres Rd. Join us upstairs, and look for our table in the far left corner by the window. At Tennent's, head to the tables by the windows after entering from Byres Rd!

Frequently Asked Questions

What level of proficiency is required to participate?
Everyone is welcome, from beginners to native speakers. Some conversational ability is recommended to fully engage in the exchange!

If I can't arrive exactly at 7:00 PM, is that a problem?
Our group is casual, so feel free to join us whenever you can make it. If you're there at 7:00 PM and no one has arrived yet, give it 15-20 minutes for others to show up!

What if only one person is signed up for the event?
Don't worry if the RSVP count is low on the event page. We typically have a regular group of 10-15 attendees despite what the page shows.

If you're looking to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and sometimes none, but there will always be friendly faces to welcome you. You can find us at the top of the stairs, seated on the long benches. We're excited to meet you and have conversations in Spanish and English!

We kick off with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure each language gets equal time and to bring up fun topics to keep the conversation flowing. We can't wait to see our regular attendees and extend a warm welcome to newcomers as well.
