Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held upstairs at Curlers, and Thursday evenings will be at Tennent's!

Curlers is conveniently located next to Hillhead subway on Byres Rd. Once you enter, head upstairs, turn right, and you'll usually find us at the table in the far left corner by the window. Alternatively, if you enter Tennent's from Byres Rd, turn left, and we are normally at one of the tables by the windows!

FAQs

What level is required to join?
The group is open to and attended by people of all levels, from beginners to native speakers. However, having even a little conversational ability can be helpful to actively participate!

If I can't make it at exactly 7:00 PM, will that be a problem?
The group is very informal, and we usually stay for a few hours. So, feel free to join whenever you can make it. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and nobody is there yet, give it around 15-20 minutes for people to arrive!

There is only one person signed up, will the event still take place?
While the event page may show only 1 or 2 people have RSVP'd, we usually have more regular attendees, and the usual group size is around 10-15 people.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM every Monday and Thursday. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally no host, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs, where we will be sitting on the long benches. We're excited to meet you and chat with you in Spanish and English.

We start with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' so that each language gets equal time and perhaps some fun topics to keep everyone engaged. We look forward to seeing our regular members and extending a warm welcome to new members.
