BenJacksonSeptember 2018 Stock is ownership of a company. Like the stock market. "Came off" means they went up relative to some other point (e.g. the start of the day). This is "jargon" specific to stocks. You wouldn't use "come off" in that way for other things. To "rally" in general means to have a surge of good performance. Could be in a game or elsewhere. In the case of stocks, it means to make significant gains. |
