Networks essay

• I believe that having a wide network of people allows me to maximize my capabilities, as my ability to lead, influence and sustain those around me is closely linked to my ability to succeed and leverage the network to achieve my goals.

• I have established extensive relationships during my academic and professional career with most of the doctors, technicians and physicists from all over Iraq.

• Since I represented the female students in the university dormitory, it helped me to develop my current work by constantly communicating with them to obtain their guidance and advice in operating new devices, activating programs, how to use them, taking various tests, attending conferences and exchanging articles and scientific research.

• All of this increased my communication skills and my ability to train several staff and students and to continue with them through networks to provide them with all the experience and knowledge I had.

• Because of my good relations with the management and my colleagues and my apparent competence in work, I was nominated and participated in a course on the CT machine which was held in France and Germany at the end of 2014.

• After my return to Iraq, I kept in touch with them for about 6 months until I was able to run all the software on the machine and add New tests.

• After that, I took the initiative to participate in a training course and training of more than 60 employees that included more than 10 hospitals, transferring the experiences and skills I obtained to my colleagues and raising the quality of examinations, thus increasing the number of patients examined.

• After the course period was over, one of my colleagues from Basra Hospital introduced me to the management of the Medical Consultation Center at Basra College of Medicine, with whom I worked part-time.

• There I got to know many other doctors, officials, and academics at Basra University and philanthropists from charitable organizations.

• This helped me create a larger network of another kind, which supported my campaign to raise awareness against breast cancer by offering free and discounted services, holding meetings and exchanging ideas.
