Traditional Tet holidays in Vietnam

• I chose the topic because I miss my family and Tet holidays.

• This is my favorite holiday because I can take a break longer, and my country Tet holiday is very important traditional in Vietnam we could say short name Tet holiday such as Tet Nguyen Dan.

• It is calculate lunar calendar it is a cycle of twelve months when it done all months.

• Maybe people had lucky or unlucky last year and another year will come in and give new change our life again.

• All family have special for first day of new year all family members were very busy and excited to prepare for Tet holiday the first we need to clean all house after it has special decorated follower’s.

• The south’s Vietnam almost decorated apricot blossom and North’s Vietnam like Sakura flower also we put some flowers on ancestors and then we buy a lot of foods which is special such as Banh Chung, banh tet, which cook with sweet sticky rice, bean, banana or meat I love Banh Chung although it made long steps I never made it and pickled onion, Vietnamese sausage, eggs roll.

• This first day of New Year all members in family send blessing and red envelope together it is meaning lucky all year and then we go to temple and visit grandfather and grandmother.

• People feel peace and happy.
