Profitez des talents musicaux des membres de Polyglot Club. Chanteurs / musiciens internationaux viennent partager leur passion de la musique et des instrumentations TRADITIONNELLES de TOUS pays!
En fin de soirée, en fonction du nombre de musiciens présents, SCENE OUVERTE permettant un mélange coloré de traditions et d'instruments du MONDE!

Pratice all languages and share good vibes in a friendly atmosphere, from 21h till 2am, with participants from all over the world.

NEW PLACE near Chatelet les Halles. The place has a bar on the ground floor and a dance floor + STAGE on the basement.

La musique bretonne est la musique traditionnelle de la région appelée Bretagne, à l’Ouest de la France. La langue est le breton, une langue celtique très ancienne (plus ancienne que le français), importée des îles britanniques vers le continent au 6^e siècle, et qui est toujours parlée en Bretagne.

Vendredi 4 février 2011, nous aurons le privilège d’une présentation de cette musique, d’abord avec un chœur, puis avec un duo (chant, guitare, flute) qui fera une démonstration de musique traditionnelle à danser, mêlée à des compositions plus contemporaines en breton.

Cette musique a été remise au goût du jour dans les années 1970 par des chanteurs populaires tels que Alan Stivell, Gilles Servat, Tri Yann, et plus récemment par Nolwenn Leroy.

Nous vous invitons à ce « Fest Noz » (fête, en breton) ce vendredi. Venez nombreux partager le spectacle, les rythmes et la langue !

Breton music is the traditional music from the region called Brittany (Bretagne, in French), on the Western French coast. The language is Breton, a Celtic language, very old (older than French), which moved from the British Isles to the Continent in the 6th century A.D., and still spoken in Brittany nowadays. 

Friday 4 February 2011, we will have a short presentation of this music, first with a choir, then with a duet (voice, guitar, flute) showing some traditional dancing songs mixed with modern compositions in Breton.

The music was revived in the 70's by famous singers like Alan Stivell, Gilles Servat, Tri Yann and, recently, Nolwenn Leroy.

Welcome to the "Fest-noz" (night party, in Breton). Come and enjoy the show, the rhythms and the language!
