As a Kazakh language teacher with over 20 years of experience, I can say that prepositions and postpositions are one of the most important and useful parts of the Kazakh language. In this lesson, we will learn about simple prepositions and their usage in simple phrases.

Simple Prepositions

Simple prepositions are one-word prepositions that are used to show the relationship or connection between two words in a sentence. In Kazakh, simple prepositions come before nouns, pronouns or gerunds. Here are some of the most common simple prepositions in Kazakh:

Here are some examples of how these prepositions are used:

  • Сізге неғе қоса беруге болады? (What can I offer you?)

Keep in mind that these are just a few examples of the many ways these prepositions can be used. It's important to practice using them in context to gain a better understanding of their usage.
