Official Farsi and informal Farsi
Informal VS formal[edit | edit source]
In Iran we have two types of Farsi language: Formal or official, and informal.
- Formal Farsi is used for example, on TV, newspapers and books.
- Informal Farsi is used in every day life by people.
Many people from different parts of the world start learning the formal version of Farsi but you have to take into account from the start that you will also have to learn the informal version in order to communicate effectively with people.
