DEMONSTRATIVE PRONOUNS in Arabic

The Demonstrative pronouns are as follows:

1) If the demonstrative qualifies a simple noun, it precedes it, and the noun takes the article, e.g. .book this هَذَا الْكِتَابُ But if the noun is defined by a following genitive or a pronominal suffix, the demonstrative is placed after these, e.g.
