The conditional mood is used to express a hypothetical situation or an event that may or may not happen in the future. The conditional mood is formed by using the particle إذا (if) followed by the verb in the subjunctive mood. The subjunctive mood is used to express a wish, a desire, a command, or a suggestion. It is also used to express a hypothetical situation or an event that may or may not happen in the future.

  • إذا كنت تريد التعلم، فأنت بحاجة إلى الجهد. (If you want to learn, then you need to make an effort.)
  • إذا كان الطقس جيدا، فسنذهب إلى الشاطئ. (If the weather is good, then we will go to the beach.)

The conjugation of the verb in the conditional mood is the same as the conjugation of the verb in the subjunctive mood. The verb is conjugated according to the subject of the sentence.
