Nepali (individual language) numbers are easy to follow and remember. The vocabulary of numbers always come at handy no matter which country you are travelling in.

Here are the numbers from 1 to 10 in Nepali (individual language):

Counting to 10 in Nepali (individual language)[edit | edit source]

Here is a dialogue between two persons to help you understand the numbers in context.

  • Person 1: तपाईको उमेर कति हो? (tapāīko umer kati ho?) (How old are you?)
  • Person 2: म छ बर्षको हुँ। (ma chha barshako hun.) (I am six years old.)

Here, Person 2 is saying his/her age: "I am 6 years old."

Interesting Fact[edit | edit source]

Do you know that Nepal has its own calendar system known as the 'Nepali (individual language) Calendar'? It is a solar-based calendar that consists of 12 months. Each month has 30 or 31 days, and there is an extra month approximately every three years! The calendar starts from the first month of Baisakh.
