趣 qù interest; interesting in Mandarin Chinese
Definition[edit | edit source]
Radical is 走 zŏu “walk”. The colloquial name for this radical is 走字旁 zŏuzìpáng “side made up of the character 走.” When 走 serves as the radical in another character, its last stroke is lengthened, with the component on the right side placed above the last stroke of 走. Phonetic is 取 qŭ “take.” Distinguish 趣 from 走, 起 qĭ, and 越 yuè.
