Hello everyone! Starting from May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held upstairs at Curlers, and Thursdays at Tennent's!

When you arrive at Tennent's from the Byres Rd entrance, you'll find our reserved tables on the left.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level of proficiency is required to join?
All levels are welcome, from beginners to native speakers. Even a basic conversational ability is helpful to participate!

If I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM, is that a problem?
The group is casual, usually staying for a few hours, so join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and no one is there yet, wait for 15-20 minutes for others to arrive!

What if only one person is signed up, will the event still happen?
The RSVP count may be low on the event page, but we typically have around 10-15 regular attendees.

Join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays to practice and improve your Spanish or English. Different hosts on different nights, and sometimes none, but always friendly people to give you a warm welcome. Look for us at the top of the stairs where we'll be seated on the long benches. We're excited to meet you and chat in Spanish and English.

We kick off with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to give each language equal time and engage in fun topics to keep the conversation flowing. We can't wait to see our regulars and extend a warm welcome to new members.
