Could anybody explain what's the difference between "Qǐng dú yíxia" and "Qǐng dú"? Both of them mean "Read it, please" right? Thanks a lot.

KiiYeoMi is right if to translate it literally.
But in my opnion, the reason why "yi xia" is used, in many cases, as in this case, makes the sentence less pushy.

Hi! The first one has "Yi Xia (一下)", which basically means "once", so the first phrase is "please read it once" and the second phrase is "please read it".
