Best advice I can give you is to learn verbs,then learn basic conversational phrases,and if you have enough time try to learn about 10 phrases per day.Also a good way to memorize some words is by listening to german music and watching german movies.Then you'll be able to form your own sentences in no time !!!

I would say, if you are going to spend that amount of time. Spread out the learning periods maybe into increments of 1 hour. And each hour learn a different way. Like one maybe , use the computer, flashcards, practice matching voab for scentence, or speaking with someone who is German!
