Bluebird0November 2020 ”Find” is in simple present tense. More like an infinitive. It is used as a verb or a noun as well. ”Found” is the past form of find. When you’ll study the tenses in deep, you’ll see the various ways they are used and can be used in. This is the basic difference though. Examples:- 1) They’ll go and find the watch. 2) They found the watch. 3) They are going to find the watch. 4) They went and found the watch. 5) They will have found the watch by tomorrow. |

Thunderhead27November 2020 The main difference between find and found is that the latter (found) is the past or past participle form of the former (to find). Examples: Present: I find the wallet. Present participle: I’m finding the wallet. Simple Past: I found the wallet. Present perfect: I have found the wallet. Past perfect: I had found the wallet. But ”found” is also another verb on its own right. In this case it means ”originate” or ”establish” regarding an organization or institution. Simple past: Microsoft was founded by Paul Allen and Bill Gates. Bill Gates and Paul Allen are the founders of Microsoft. |
