vincentJanuary 2020 Thanks
exRangerJanuary 2020 Hey Vince, These words can be regarded as synonymous in many, but not all, instances. "Disease" always = a malady, whether of personal health or of, say, societal health, i.e., a social disorder. "Condition" can be a 'softer' way of expressing 'disease' - personal and/or societal (ill) health, but also carries such additional meanings as "the state of something(s)", e.g., "the used car was in very good condition" (ie, a good state of repair, etc.). -exRanger PS - we also use "condition" in connection with personal health improvement (ie, exercise) and climate control of a space, e.g., "air conditioning" or heating (ie, HVAC) - in French "climatisation". |
