JR2010July 2013 Depends on the context they are being used. The ride is "over" (the ride has ended) or the person is "over" there (points finger in direction of the person). You can also use "over" as a synonym for cover; Her hair is covering/(over) her forehead. "All gone" means you have a set amount of objects and they are "all gone". You have 10 cookies and I ate all 10, so they are "all gone". "all gone" is a phrase, whereas "over" is a preposition.
