The classic Verdi’s opera modern masquerade in Helikon Opera theatre The Verdi’s opera “Un ballo in maschera” (A Masked Ball) is one of the most popular operas in the world.

But in Moscow it was set in Helikon Opera theatre by director and the founder and artistic director Dmitry Bertman for the first time.

He made up his mind to fill this omission up in honor of 200 Verdi’s anniversary.

Simone Firmani (Italy) was a band-master on premieres which were 4-5 of September.

He is only Verdi’s descendant.

His great-grandmother was adulterate Italian composer’s daughter.

The act of opera had been carried from 18’s century to end of 20, or maybe beginning of 21.

For example, I did not feel pleasure in watching of Amelia’s character being played by the Helikon Opera actress Karina Flores who buys some sort of herb in rad lamp street to be cured of criminal passion to Count Warwick being played by the Helikon Opera actor Dmitry Ponomarev.

It is lake someone bays a drug from drug dealer ( it is a waste, where punishments are made by Verdi’s opera, and Amelia goes where by night to gather a magic grass).

The person will able to feel some kind of feeling (pleasant or unpleasant) in watching opera, if he (or she) went through something similar in his life himself I believe.

I don’t know if is it good or not for this opera.

It is right maybe, if plot is being carried to our time that ways and acts ought to be matched this time.
