The self-improvement obsession
- It is quite natural tendency for people to hit new records, improve particular skills, become a better version of themselves but recently social media and internet communities have made the whole industry from self-improvement.
- Today it’s an absolutely valid and common to brag about your achievements.
- Moreover, quantity makes difference, the more you accomplish the better.
- People say that if you feel down in the dumps you should do self-improvement.
- It seems like they intentionally or unintentionally sell this idea to everyone who are experiencing life struggles.
- They ensure people that it’ll flout their boat if they become more charismatic with rocking body.
- This type of thinking almost stems from a place of insecurity, conditional happiness.
- It’s sounds so pretentions and dystopian because people can’t figure out the simple thing.
- Those who became fricking good in their field were motivated by great passion.
- They spend hours avidly learning new things.
- That’s why they’ve skyrocketed.
- Originally it is natural for people to become experts in the realm if they dedicate enough time on something that pulls their trigger.
- They inevitably will develop special skills, gain knowledge.
- You don’t need to set up a goal, aiming on self-improvement.
- Instead you should find a thing that moves you, inspires you, and progress will happen anyway because it’s impossible to stay put for a long time.
- The bottom line is, people should break out of the obsessive self-improvement in order to free themselves from anguish and self-content.
- In my opinion, this whole concept of self-improvement is counterproductive and it sabotages people, overshadowing their real needs.
