I am not sure about the tense for tell stories

• I need help with this, because sometimes I feel like I wanna talk in present tense but am not sure if is alright, in here I talk about a book, could you help me with the proper tenses?

• Thank you: Maldito Karma tells the story of a presenter called Kim.

• She is selfish and only cares for her fame.

• What she did not know is that fate had something prepared, she died in the most unusual way possible.

• But it doesn’t end there, because she wakes up from death, although she is somewhat different.

• She was reincarnated as an ant.

• So, while living as an ant she managed to be closer to her family than she was when she lived as a human.

• She sees how her family suffers for her death.

• So after some unfortunate events, she understood that she must accumulate good karma to climb the ladder of reincarnation and become human again.

• But the road is gonna be tough.

• The book is very funny.

• It also brings up something that is very common, the fact that sometimes we neglect our families for work.

• Through this story she will reflect on everything she has lost, of what she has had in her hands and that she has not known how to value.

• Many times we talk about Karma, but in reality we don’t even know very well what it is, in fact I didn’t know.

• Generally, karma is interpreted as a cosmic ”law” of retribution, or cause and effect.

• According to karma, each successive reincarnation would be conditioned by the acts performed in previous lives.

• If you have been a good person you accumulate good karma and if you have been bad, then you get bad karma.

• A small example from the book is that dictators reincarnate like intestinal bacteria.

• At the end of the book the protagonist has a metamorphosis figuratively and also literally.

• The Kim who dies is not the same as at the end of the book.

• She manages to learn from her mistakes and to value the important things, not the material ones.
