  • Environmental problems

  • Our world is constantly changing.
  • People have created new inventions with each passing day, changing the existence of humanity to be simpler, better, and more favorable for themselves.
    • However, there is something, that most of us do not want to take control of and alter and that is environmental pollution which happens because of people’s actions.
  • Thousands of marine creatures are dying because of water pollution because someone decides to dump waste in rivers or seas.
  • Debris goes to trickle into the water, reaches the vortex in the ocean, and stays there, accumulates, and forms a gyre.
    • Animals eat this garbage, thinking that it is food, and dying as an outcome.
    • The same occurs on the land.
    • People throw out garbage in certain places, which are called landfills, where waste is accrued and stored without being sorted, recycled, and destroyed, because of that a highly toxic harmful stew called leachate appears.
  • It harms not only soil and its inhabitants but also rivers, lakes, seas, and oceans, poisoning them with pollutants.
  • Anyway, my thinking is, the most important environmental problem is plastic.
    • Plastics are a wide range of synthetic or semi-synthetic materials, that use polymers as the main ingredient.
  • The plasticity during production makes it possible for plastic to be molded, extruded, or pressed into solid objects of various shapes, making it an adaptable material for many different uses.
  • On the one hand, it has some advantages, one of which is by using plastic people have made many types of comfortable items, which we use every day.
    • Nevertheless, there are disadvantages, which outweigh disadvantages.
    • First, plastic is one of the most non-biodegradable materials (degradable only after thousands of years) because its composition includes oil and gas that chemically bind their molecules together.
  • Second, plastic is the most common material produced by humanity because of its multifunctionality and usability.
    • Therefore, people most frequently use plastic objects, and hence, and they mostly throw them out.
    • Third, most of the users do not dump plastic waste in specific places created for that, which are called recycling containers.
    • If we throw away plastic in these containers, then the contents go to the refinery, a place, where plastic is recycled, and after, it may be used again.
  • Although these places exist, only some people use them.
    • These are the most significant issues with plastic, as a result environmental pollution rises, which I mentioned above.
  • From my standpoint, all environmental troubles appear because of people and their mindless attitude to nature.
  • Many of them just live without thinking about their harming of the surrounding world.
    • The little wrapper dumped on the land, do terrible damage to the earth.
    • Nevertheless, throwing a bottle out on the recycling container can help handle widespread pollution, which can soon destroy all life.
