When we see a beggar on the street we suggest that he has no education, takes drugs and it is his own fault that he lives on the street as he hasn't worked hard enough for his own well-being.

In Germany everyone has health insurance and it is paid by the state because we think that the highest good in a human being's life is it's health.

So if we see a beggar on the street, we should not think he deserved his destiny because he has not done any good to this world.

I personally know of a beggar who has been a surgeon once and chose to live on the street after a small girl died on his table and he has never been able to forgive himself.
