I was right!
- My friend used to laugh at me.
- It didn't happen because I was ugly or so immensely funny.
- I just had a very big backpack.
- I've chosen it myself.
- She often wondered what I put in there, apart from the books.
- I began to show her what was in my amazing backpack.
- I pulled out a cup, a sandwich, a thermos full of nice hot tea, an adhesive plaster, iodine, an umbrella, a Barbie, three chalks, a flashlight, two correctors and a lot more things.
- I understood that I shouldn't have done it but it was too late.
- Every day she grinned and asked me for how long exactly this very sandwich was in my rucksack (though it was always fresh and she knew it pretty well).
- One day my teacher told me that we were going on an excursion.
- It was cold that day.
- She told us to leave our backpacks but I refused.
- She shrugged her shoulders and agreed.
- I always take my things with me (school things), even if I know that nothing's going to happen to them.
- That's my oddity, I think.
- That excursion was more like a quest.
- We had to be in the street all the time, and all of us were cold.
- My friend shivered and wanted to eat, and when the quest just began, she fell down and scrached her hand.
- That's when I with a generous gesture pulled out an anorak, a jumper, two cups, my favourite thermos and three sausages, everything for the scratch and even a big chokolate bar!
- She just opened her mouth.
- After the quest she told me she was sorry for teasing me a bit, but I wasn't in the least angry, and of course she never laughed at my rucksack again.
