The growth of citiesis harmful for the environment
- The problem of the effect of urbanization on nature has always aroused heated debates.
- Some people think that it is one of the reasons of pollution of the environment, while others claim that the growth of cities does not led to any ecological problems.
- In my opinion, the urbanization does harm the environment.
- Firstly, the building of cities implies the destruction of existing ecosystems, deforestation and killing animals.
- It cannot be done without doing harm the nature.
- Secondly, there are thousands of factories in the cities.
- So, their waste material is one of the reasons of pollution of the environment because it pollutes the air, rivers and lakes.
- However, some people believe that the growth of cities can be useful for the environment.
- In their view, thanks to the achievements of scientific and technical progress people can build the cities with the energy saving technologies, which can be useful for solving many global problems.
- Personally, I do not agree with the above opinion.
- I am convinced that the harm of the urbanization for the nature cannot be decreased by no means.
- In conclusion, I believe that people should pay more attention to taking care of the nature because the Earth is our home, and we should preserve it for future generations.
