Join us weekly as over 150 individuals from more than 23 countries gather at our language exchange to practice languages and forge new friendships over drinks.🍻
When you arrive at New To Melbourne, you'll immediately sense the vibrant community spirit; our members are welcoming, friendly, and always eager to embrace newcomers. We encourage you to bring a friend along for a night of enriching language practice!
Our language exchange is completely FREE and occurs every Wednesday evening. Arrive at 6 PM for affordable food and drinks if you're looking to grab a bite! 🍻🍟

===== EVENT FORMAT =====
Upon arrival, you will receive a badge displaying your native language and the languages you wish to learn. Position the badge with your native language on the right and the languages you're learning on the left. Then, mingle and practice your language skills!
What to bring: A pen, paper, and plenty of positive energy!
Age Requirement: 18+

===== FREE PIZZA AND DRINKS FOR VOLUNTEERS! =====
We welcome friendly volunteers who are willing to assist and greet newcomers. In return, we provide complimentary beer/drinks and snacks (such as pizza wedges) along with a supportive team of fellow volunteers. If it’s your first event, feel free to apply—many of our volunteers are first-timers too!

We take pride in creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels safe and open to making new friends. To maintain this atmosphere, we have established several rules:
1. This is *not* a dating event; please refrain from asking for personal contact information. Use the meetup.com private chat for correspondence if needed.
