Tamil language is known for its diverse and complex grammar. Nouns and pronouns are essential components of Tamil grammar. In this lesson, we will learn about different types of nouns and pronouns in Tamil and their usage. By the end of this lesson, you will be able to use nouns and pronouns effectively in simple sentences.

Types of Nouns[edit | edit source]

In Tamil, there are five types of nouns:

Proper Nouns[edit | edit source]

Proper nouns refer to specific names of persons, places, or things. These nouns always start with a capital letter. For example:

Abstract nouns refer to ideas, qualities, or emotions. For example:

Countable nouns refer to things that can be counted. For example:

Types of Pronouns[edit | edit source]

In Tamil, there are eight types of pronouns. Pronouns are used to replace nouns in a sentence. The different types of pronouns are:

Personal Pronouns[edit | edit source]

Personal pronouns refer to the person speaking, the person spoken to, or the person spoken about. For example:
