Spanish slang you gotta know

Beside '¡Hola!,¿Cómo estás?' ( only expression you rememember from Spanish class, because of course ;) you might already know there is a lot of polysemy (plenty of expressions and words to describe the same thing) Why? Thank the Spaniards for conquering a wide piece of continent more than a fart ago, and the imagination of people. Here are a few terms:

In Spain

-Ligar : to flirt or succeed in dating. When someone is called "Ligón" he or she is dating evereyone around ...or at least tries.

-Currar: means "to work".They don't go to "el trabajo", they go to "el curro".

-A tomar por el culo: literally go take  to the ass, "fuck you".

- Tener mucho morro: someone who is very full of himself and is unconsiderate.

-Mola: something that is good, cool.

In Latin America...

-Vaina: With the right noun and verb, you can express anything. Means thing, stuff, everyone uses it.

- Es lo que hay: a resignation, means "that's all that is".

-Calladito te ves más bonito: keep your mouth closed, because you look prettier.

-Chévere: cool, used mostly in Colombia, Venezuela, and Panama.

-Mae: in Central America means "amigo/amiga".

-Pegar un tubazo: Please don't hit them with a tube! in Argentina means "call me".
