Interrogative pronouns are used to ask questions about people or things. In Arabic, there are three interrogative pronouns:

- من (man) is used to ask about a person
- ماذا (mādhā) is used to ask about a thing or an action
- ما (mā) is used to ask about a quality or a characteristic.

Interrogative particles are used to ask yes/no questions. In Arabic, there are two interrogative particles:

- هل (hal) is used in formal Arabic to ask yes/no questions
- أ (a) is used in colloquial Arabic to ask yes/no questions.

Now that you know the different question words in Arabic, let's see how to use them in sentences.
- To ask a question in Arabic, you usually start with the question word, followed by the rest of the sentence.
- In Arabic, the verb usually comes before the subject.
Here are some examples:
- من هذا؟ (man hadha?) - Who is this?
- ماذا تفعل؟ (mādhā tafʻal?) - What are you doing?
- ما اللون الذي تفضله؟ (ma al-lawn alladhi tafḍaluhu?) - What color do you prefer?
- هل أنت طالب؟ (hal anta ṭālib?) - Are you a student?
- أين المطار؟ (ʾayna al-maṭār?) - Where is the airport?
