The future tense is used to talk about events that will happen in the future. In Panjabi, the future tense is formed by adding the suffix ਦੀ (di) to the verb stem. For example, the verb ਪੜਨਾ (parhnaa) means "to read". To form the future tense, we add the suffix ਦੀ (di) to the verb stem, giving us ਪੜਦੀ (parhdee).
Let's look at some examples of how to use the future tense in Panjabi:

The future tense can also be used to make predictions about the future. For example:

| ਉਹ ਅਗਲੇ ਘੰਟੇ ਆਉਣਦਾ ਹੋਗਾ | uha agle ghatte aaun-daa hogaa | He will come in an hour |
The future tense can also be used to express wishes or hopes for the future. For example:
