Let's see the difference and the concerning the day of the week in different cultures

Dimanche Sunday 日曜日 Day of the Sun Sun
Lundi Monday 月曜日 Day of the Moon Moon
Mardi Tuesday 火曜日 Day of fire Mars
Mercredi Wednesday 水曜日 Day of water Mercury
Jeudi Thursday 木曜日 Day of wood Jupiter
Vendredi Friday 金曜日 Day of gold Venus
Samedi Saturday 土曜日 Day of Saturn

In every languages, meaning is the same even if source may differ a little. In fact, some use from Scandinavian Mythologie, some from Antic Greece mythology some other from Roman mythology but always as a en equivalence.

In some countries like in south east asia or english influence the week starts on Sunday and not on monday!
