ឃុំ : ពាក្យនេះចេញពីមួយម៉ោងមុននេះ។ ថ្ងៃនេះគឺថ្ងៃស្រវឹងអាកាស់តែប៉ុណ្ណែស្តេចតែ។ (Khun: peak nis jum mean jom nir ney. T'ngai ney ke t'ngai sroveng akeas ta bponn nyes te.) (Khun: This word has come out for an hour. Today is a partly cloudy day, but it's still quite hot.)

ពុទ្ធ : ម៉ាស៊ីនធឺណេតបានចេញពូកែកម្រល់ឥឡូវនេះ? (Pot: masin deun te ban cheo kmeul olv ulov ney?) (Pot: Is it raining outside right now?)

ខ្ញុំ : ទេពេកគ្រឿងមិនមានកន្សែងត្រង់ជួរឈរទេ។ (Knhom: te'pkhreung mnei mean knsaeng trang chhuch te.) (Knhom: No, the weather is not cold outside.)
